The Almighty Renault Zoe E-sport

The Renault Zoe e-sport concept has just been announced by Renault. The French manufacturer has placed a 460bhp twin-electric motor taken from Renault’s Formula E single-seater race car. This makes the car a powerful beast when it comes to racing from zero to 62mph with an impressive time of 3.2secs and on to a limited top speed of 130mph.

The bad news is that Renault doesn’t plan to release a production version of the electric hot hatch, but the company has made a one-off version that can be driven on a race circuit. The body of the Renault Zoe e-sport concept is made from carbon fibre, helping keep the weight down. Unfortunately, the new hatchback is stripped of any features, such as air conditioning and leather seats. It has only the bare minimum needed for people to be able to drive it similar to some of the top supercars.

The tiny hyper-hatch comes with fitted with centre-lock 20-inch race wheels. Apparently, these new alloy wheels will be available on the new Renault Megane sport when released.

Renault has released the new hatchback in a matte blue with offsetting yellow accents, mimicking the livery found on the Formula E racer. If they do decide to release a road version of this, we believe it will be a big seller as it easily competes with the likes of Lamborghini, Ferrari and many more.
